Salary:
The estimated salary for this role is between £600 - £720 per week, commensurate with experience.

Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Academic Excellence to join our summer program team. As a key member of the academic leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective running of language courses and promoting the wellbeing of both teachers and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse student levelling data to group students into class levels
  • Plan and deliver engaging language-focused lessons
  • Support teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Organise graduation photos and project showcase days
  • Lead the academic team and support the summer program as a whole
  • Conduct weekly academic meetings
  • Organise and assist with placement testing
  • Communicate regularly with the YL Academic Operations Manager

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have: DELTA or MA TESOL or MA linguistics/other qualifications Extensive experience as a Director of Studies on summer programs High level of computer literacy, particularly MS Office, email, and database management Excellent lesson planning skills Enthusiasm for summer school life Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance
