We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Safety Engineering Manager to join our Central SHEQ Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the business delivers projects safely and in compliance with legislative requirements, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all staff are operationally competent for their assigned duties in writing.
- Maintain and develop all electrical external accreditations.
- Maintain written policies and procedures across the whole scope of MUS electrical work.
- Develop new documentation and processes as necessary.
- Manage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to Competency.
- Develop and implement electronic field records in association with other personnel.
- Support the wider business interest, including business opportunities.
- Represent the company at national forums, including:
- Energy Network Association (ENA)
- Lloyds Register NERS Forum
- Lloyds Register NERSAP
- National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP)
- Association of Meter Operators (AMO)
- Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA)
- Educated to HNC or equivalent, but Degree level preferred.
- Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferred.
- NICEIC.
- Hold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH.
- Strong operational background preferably in association with DNOs or similar organisations.
- Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671.
- Team Management.
- Good interpersonal skills and demonstrate clear safety behaviours.
- Clear focus on operational safety.
- Understanding of the development of the power industry and its challenges.
