About the Role
M Group Services Energy Division is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Safety Engineering Manager to join our Central SHEQ Department.
As the Electrical Safety Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the business delivers projects safely. The department works to ensure that the business is compliant with legislative requirements, policies, and procedures.
The Electrical Safety Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring all staff working on or near electricity networks conduct themselves in accordance with M Group, Energy Division, client safety procedures, and industry accreditations, including NERS.
Key Responsibilities:
\u2022 Ensure all staff are operationally competent for their assigned duties in writing
\u2022 Maintain and develop all electrical external accreditations
\u2022 Maintain written policies and procedures across the whole scope of MUS electrical work
\u2022 Develop new documentation and processes as necessary
\u2022 Manage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to competency
\u2022 Develop and implement electronic field records in association with other personnel
\u2022 Support the wider business interest, including business opportunities
\u2022 Represent M Group at national forums, including:
\u2022 Energy Network Association (ENA)
\u2022 Lloyds Register
\u2022 NERS Forum
\u2022 Lloyds Register
\u2022 NERSAP
\u2022 National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP)
\u2022 Association of Meter Operators (AMO)
\u2022 Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA)
Requirements:
\u2022 Educated to HNC or equivalent, but degree level preferred
\u2022 Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET)
\u2022 Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferred
\u2022 NICEIC
\u2022 Hold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH
\u2022 Strong operational background, preferably in association with DNOs or similar organizations
\u2022 Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671
\u2022 Team Management
\u2022 Good interpersonal skills and demonstrate clear safety behaviors
\u2022 Clear focus on operational safety
\u2022 Understanding of the development of the power industry and its challenges
