About The Role

M Group Services Energy Division is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Safety Engineering Manager to join our Central SHEQ Department.

As the Electrical Safety Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all staff working on or near electricity networks conduct themselves in accordance with M Group, Energy Division, Client safety procedures and industry accreditations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all staff are operationally competent for their assigned duties in writing
  • Maintain and develop all electrical external accreditations
  • Maintain written policies and procedures across the whole scope of MUS electrical work
  • Develop new documentation and processes as necessary
  • Manage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to Competency
  • Develop and implement electronic field records in association with other personnel
  • Support the wider business interest including business opportunities
Represent MES at National Forums:
  • Energy Network Association (ENA)
  • Lloyds Register
  • NERS Forum
  • Lloyds Register
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Educated to HNC or equivalent but Degree level preferred
  • Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET)
  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferred
  • NICEIC
  • Hold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH
  • Have a strong operational background preferably in association with DNOs or similar organisations
  • Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671
  • Team Management
  • Have good interpersonal skills and demonstrate clear safety behaviours
  • Have a clear focus on operational safety
  • Have an understanding of the development of the power industry and its challenges

M Group Energy Division are a national business and there is a requirement to travel throughout the UK and spend some nights away from home as required to undertake the role.
