Transforming Child Health in Birmingham

We are seeking a skilled Community Health Professional to join our innovative School Nursing team. Based in Birmingham, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children and families, promoting health and wellbeing in the community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with experience working with children and families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Birmingham is the youngest city in Europe, with a high proportion of young people. Our School Nursing team plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of these individuals, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to join our team.

As a Community Health Professional, you will be responsible for assessing the health needs of individual children and the school population as a whole. You will proactively address factors affecting health, ensuring that children and young people achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will work closely with vulnerable children and families, reducing the risks of social exclusion and health inequalities. Your duties will include completing healthcare plans for children with medical conditions, liaising with specialist nurses and GPs where necessary.

This role requires flexibility, including working up to 6pm on weekdays and occasional weekends to meet service needs. A full driving license and ability to travel across Birmingham are also essential.

We offer a competitive salary of £29,970 - £36,483 per annum (pro rata), plus attractive relocation payment if applicable. Our comprehensive benefits package includes Agenda for Change pay enhancements, extensive holidays, and dedicated well-being services.

If you are passionate about child health and wellbeing, and possess excellent interpersonal skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
