About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join our finance team on a part-time basis. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing multiple payrolls from start to finish with accuracy and speed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payrolls: Enter new starters, leavers, changes to details, statutory payments (SSP, SMP), and input hours into Sage 50 Cloud Payroll.
  • Manage auto-enrolment: Process net payments through online banking portals and submit FPS (Full Payment Submissions) to HMRC.
  • Liaise with administrators: Ensure all payroll deadlines are met by working closely with off-site care home administrators.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar payroll role.
  • Skills: Proficient in Sage 50 Cloud Payroll, knowledge of tax, NI, statutory payments, and pension auto-enrolment rules.
  • Qualifications: 5 GCSEs (A-C) including Maths and English or equivalent.
