Family Intervention Specialist

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Family Intervention Specialist to join their Targeted Support Service. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to families, promoting positive outcomes and reducing the risk of harm.
The role involves working closely with children, young people, and their families, using a whole family approach to deliver evidence-based group work programs. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting Early Help Assessments (EHAs) and being the Lead Professional for assigned families.
- Developing and delivering group work programs to support parents/carers with topics such as parenting, childhood development, domestic abuse, and healthy relationships.
- Working collaboratively with district teams to provide comprehensive support services.

Key Skills and Qualifications
- Good knowledge and understanding of child development, signs of abuse and neglect, and child protection legislations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to conduct assessments and create plans for support that promote positive outcomes.
- Experience in providing direct support to vulnerable families and delivering evidence-based programs.
- Willingness to travel locally and across the county.
