Modelling Specialist -

This role involves working as a key member of our expanding modelling team, delivering crucial elements of a large System-of-Systems project.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and supporting new capabilities, with opportunities to participate in local and international trials using the team's outputs. Our work involves cutting-edge technologies, techniques, and methodologies.

We are seeking an experienced Modelling Engineer to join our team, contributing to high-quality delivery of SCRUM tasking. You will be supported by the Project Design Authority, who will work with you to ensure successful project outcomes.

The right candidate will develop into the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the project, acting as a point of contact for stakeholder queries. You will also assist in mentoring graduate modelling engineers, generating Simulink based models for deployment onto FPGA targets as part of production deliveries.

A deep understanding of Physics/Mathematical principles at Degree-level and experience as a Modelling engineer are essential for this role. Working knowledge of RF sensors within a Defence setting is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, building & testing Simulink models.
  • Experience deploying Simulink models to FPGA targets (HDL Coder toolbox).
  • System Documentation (Design & Test).
  • Modelling RF environments, including interfaces between stand-alone models and a broader network.
