Preterm Birth Specialist

The North Middlesex University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our team as a Preterm Birth Specialist. Main Responsibilities- Provide expert care to women at risk of preterm birth, ensuring a seamless transition from antenatal to postnatal care.
- Lead the development and implementation of evidence-based guidelines and protocols for preterm birth care, ensuring consistency and quality across the service.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver education and training programs for healthcare professionals, promoting best practices in preterm birth care.
- Conduct regular audits and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the preterm birth service meets national standards and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external agencies and stakeholders, fostering partnerships to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in research and clinical trials, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and best practices in preterm birth care.
- Lead on the development and implementation of quality improvement projects, driving innovation and excellence in the preterm birth service.
- Registered midwife with a strong background in perinatal care and preterm birth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading teams and implementing change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
- Knowledge of national standards and guidelines for preterm birth care, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
