About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our team at Somerset Community CAMHS services. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a passion for delivering high-quality care to children and young people experiencing complex mental health issues.

The successful candidate will provide medical leadership, work alongside a supportive multi-disciplinary team, and deliver psychiatry input for children and young people in our community and acute hospital settings. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise while contributing to the delivery of safe and effective care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the CAMHS community team in the East of the county
  • Deliver expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
  • Maintain close relationships with GPs/primary care, colleagues in Education and Children's Social Care, and other specialist services

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Full GMC registration and Section 12 MHA approval
  • Evidence of AC/RC approval or in process of application
  • Included on specialist register for child psychiatry

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around £80,000-£110,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, pension contributions, and opportunities for career progression.
