Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced makeup artist to join our team at Pat McGrath Labs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert makeup applications, assisting clients with product knowledge, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge and application techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert application of Pat McGrath Lab cosmetics products from everyday looks to special events
  • Assist clients with product knowledge, makeup applications, and purchases with the brand and throughout the store
  • Maintain specialized product knowledge and reinforce Pat McGrath application techniques with the team
  • Accountable for achieving sales goals and maintaining consistent and regular appointment bookings
  • Analyze sales and create strategies with management to consistently meet and exceed goals
  • Share knowledge to provide customers with exceptional and personalized service
  • Work as part of a team focused on creating a memorable customer experience
  • Manage customer feedback and use it constructively to continually raise the bar for service, sales, and retail standards
  • Adapt to the challenges that vary from day to day and be flexible in a fast-paced work environment
  • Use natural curiosity to stay ahead of the latest trends by taking every opportunity to expand knowledge of products and competitors
  • Own the planning and delivery of in-store events
  • Lead masterclasses and trainings both one-to-one and to a group
  • Replenish stock as needed and keep testers and counter clean and attractive to ensure the brand is presented at the highest level and hygiene standards are met
  • Build a clientele and a loyal repeat customer base
  • Understand and follow health, safety, and security procedures and play an active role in preventing stock loss
  • Ensure compliance with all store policies and procedures
  • Champion the company culture and values

Requirements

  • Experienced Lead Makeup Artist with a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Ability to perform high-quality makeup applications that align with the brand service menu is essential
  • Confidently connects artistry and education to sales
  • Social/digital portfolio of work with significant following preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current beauty trends and latest products
  • Great communicator with the ability to positively engage with all customers with varying needs and requirements
  • Well-informed with excellent product knowledge and aware of competitor activity
  • Sales and service expert with the ability to deliver the extraordinary each and every time
  • Flexible and responsive to business needs with a willingness to take responsibility for tasks that may go beyond the role expectation
  • Confident coach and self-driven to upskill and learn
  • Trusted and respected colleague who embodies the company values
  • Able to work retail hours on a 20h part-time basis, including days, nights, weekends, and special events
