Nurse Leadership Position at a Children's Hospice

Leaders In Care Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Paediatric Nurse to fill a Nurse Leadership position at one of our partner children's hospices. As a Senior Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children with life-limiting conditions and leading a team of nurses and specialist carers.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in the hospice, children's homes, or community settings.
  • Provide direct line management support to Band 5 Nurses and Band 3 + 4 Specialist Carers.
  • Plan and review care in collaboration with families to ensure safety and advocacy.
  • Ensure fun, sensitivity, and compassion are integral to the care provided.
  • Administer medications and maintain the nutritional status of all children.
  • Participate in governance activities, including incident reporting and resource management.
  • Offer training and development opportunities to staff and family members.
  • Registration as a Sick Children's Nurse or Registered Nurse (Child Branch).
  • Relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 level.
  • Experience in nursing children with life-limiting conditions.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a commitment to the hospice's values of kindness, excellence, and courage.
