About the Role

Insight Investment is seeking a skilled Investment Guidelines Specialist to join its Guideline Management team in London. The team is responsible for implementing, coding, and monitoring investment guidelines, working closely with fund management and client solutions groups to ensure guidelines are operationally sound and investment risk limits are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of thinkFolio and other core coding systems
  • Codify client mandates and fund guidelines into systems within agreed timeframes with high accuracy
  • Collaborate with Fund Managers and Client Directors to ensure accurate coding interpretation and timely sign-off
  • Support the team in managing coding cases via the workflow tool, escalating cases as necessary
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to queries from across the business
  • Manage the team mailbox and participate in daily team calls to allocate work among team members
  • Understand regulatory, house, and Fund Manager coding requirements and implement rules as requested
  • Report non-automated investment restrictions to relevant parties and aim to reduce these over time
  • Build strong relationships with internal parties, including Fund Managers, Legal, Risk, Client Directors, Dealers, etc.

  • Confidence in engaging with various business stakeholders, including Client Directors, Fund Managers, Dealers, Operations, etc.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with proven ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of fixed income securities and derivatives
  • Desirable experience within the investment management industry and using investment compliance systems (thinkFolio, Charles River, Sentinel, etc.)
