Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Crisis Responder to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide initial assessment and triage via telephone, offering information, support, signposting, and advice to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate and confidential support to service users, including carers, and assist individuals to cope more effectively with their mental health issues.
  • Conduct mental state assessments, risk assessments, and safety planning to ensure the well-being of service users.
  • Deliver a range of brief therapy interventions, including validation and de-escalation of crisis, to support service users in managing their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Signpost service users to relevant services, working closely with clinical leads and shift coordinators as needed.
