Learning Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a vibrant school in Lymington. This role supports individual students who may require additional academic or behavioural assistance.
You will help implement tailored education plans and ensure a positive learning experience.
About the RoleAs a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential part in creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of the pupil, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop their social and emotional skills.
- Deliver targeted support to an assigned student, aiding learning and behaviour management.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement individualised educational strategies.
- Adapt and modify resources to suit the pupil's unique learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate updates to relevant staff and parents.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment in line with the school's values and standards.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience working with children in a 1:1 setting, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy and a positive attitude towards supporting individual learning.
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
We offer:
- A competitive salary of £83,500 per annum (£76.92 - £95.68 per day).
