Job Title: Support Learning Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Learning Coordinator to join our welcoming school community in Lymington.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to make a positive impact on students' educational journey, working closely with teachers to provide individualized support tailored to meet their needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and other key subjects to ensure students thrive academically.
  • Assisting with lesson planning, classroom activities, and resource preparation to maintain a supportive learning environment.
  • Promoting positive behavior and engagement with learning, fostering a nurturing approach among students.
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs or special educational requirements, collaborating with teaching staff to ensure consistency.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children in an educational setting.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to student interactions, with strong communication skills and adaptability.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience are beneficial but not essential.

You will also need to have the right to work in the UK, an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years, and a DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.

Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is £13.12 per hour, depending on experience.
