Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to lead and manage the financial operations of the Loddon Prisons Precinct in Victoria, Australia.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team providing financial, accounting, budget, procurement, and administrative services.
  • This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance team to achieve service delivery standards, specified budgetary outcomes, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Plan, prioritise, and monitor the team's workload, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective outcome delivery.
  • Provide advice on financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in government finance, with a strong understanding of government accounting and financial legislation, policies, and processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle Financial System and proficiency in data analysis and financial management.
