About the Senior Business Development Manager - Commercial Real Estate Lending Role:

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join their team. As a key member of the Commercial Real Estate Lending team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, building relationships with clients and stakeholders, and driving sales growth.

Purpose of the Senior Business Development Manager - Commercial Real Estate Lending Role:

  • To develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives, focusing on commercial real estate lending opportunities.
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and other stakeholders to drive sales growth and achieve business targets.
  • To stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Business Development Manager - Commercial Real Estate Lending Role:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for the Commercial Real Estate Lending team, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and other stakeholders to drive sales growth and achieve business targets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including commercial real estate lending deals, and work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements to ensure the company remains competitive and compliant.
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure effective onboarding and drawdown of deals, and maintain accurate records of sales and annual review activity.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of market awareness, monitoring the sales performance of competitors to ensure the company maintains and develops its competitive position.
  • Support the development of sales and marketing literature and associated documents to improve the marketing of the company and its products and services.
  • Assist in the development of the skills and knowledge of the team, through ongoing coaching and training methods.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Senior Business Development Manager - Commercial Real Estate Lending Role:

  • A proven track record of success in business development and sales, preferably in a related industry.
  • Experience in leading a team and developing individuals to maximize performance.
  • An understanding of the relevant rules under the financial services acts.
  • A high level of financial and commercial awareness, including credit analysis.
  • Excellent sales and interpersonal skills.
  • Impressive record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • An understanding of Conduct Risk and Consumer Duty requirements.
  • An appropriate knowledge and experience of sales and marketing.
