About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Elderly Support Specialist to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to a 59-year-old female client residing in Stanley, Co. Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care services and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing personal care assistance, with a focus on supporting individuals with mobility impairments and managing epilepsy. A full UK driving license and own vehicle are essential requirements for this role, as you will be required to transport the client to various appointments and activities.

A key aspect of this position is the ability to provide companionship and emotional support, promoting independence and enhancing the client's quality of life. As an Elderly Support Specialist, you will work closely with the client to understand their needs and preferences, developing a personalized care plan that addresses their unique requirements.

We offer a competitive salary of £12 per hour, with an estimated weekly earnings of approximately £96 (based on 8 hours of work). The schedule includes 4 hours on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and medication management
  • Supporting the client with mobility and transferring to/from bed or wheelchair
  • Managing epilepsy episodes and administering medications as prescribed
  • Transporting the client to appointments and activities
