About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Officer to join our team in a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy. The ideal candidate will have excellent planning knowledge and experience in managing projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries with precision and attention to detail.
  2. Conduct thorough research and prepare comprehensive planning appraisals to assess site potential.
  3. Produce high-quality reports with clear recommendations that meet client expectations.
  4. Lead client meetings and community engagement sessions with confidence and expertise.
  5. Oversee projects, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with timelines and safety standards.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or Master's in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited).
  • At least two years of experience in a planning role, preferably within the public or private sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • A strong understanding of the UK planning system and legislation.
