About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Photography Technician to join our team within Ophthalmology, providing a comprehensive diagnostic Ophthalmic photography service to patients served by the Trust.

The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties with respect to ophthalmic photography for the ophthalmology department, in accordance with the needs of the Trust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver an efficient, professional, skilled and broad range of technical services for the ophthalmology department using a wide range of equipment.
  • Undertake your own workload of patients and maintain associated records and mentor junior staff where required.
  • Attend additional training when required and maintain CPD.
  • Provide an explanation to the patients of the specialist procedures they are undertaking.
  • Colour fundus macula photography using specialist equipment.
  • Optical coherence photography of patients using Optical Coherence Tomography camera.
  • Digital Fundus Auto Fluorescence Macula Photography of patients retinal using specialist imaging equipment.
