About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Photography Technician to join our team within the Ophthalmology department at Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive diagnostic ophthalmic photography service to patients, working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform ophthalmic photography for glaucoma monitoring, working to specific timescales and consultant requirements.
  • Manage own caseload, maintaining accurate records and mentoring junior staff as needed.
  • Provide clear explanations to patients about the procedures they will undergo.
  • Operate specialist equipment, including colour fundus macula photography, optical coherence photography, and digital fundus auto fluorescence macula photography.
