Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse to join our team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated nurse to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Research Nurse in our Ophthalmology department. As a senior member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for coordinating the assessment of care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating appropriate programs of care for patients requiring ophthalmic care.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of holistic care is maintained for all patients and families. Your expertise and knowledge will be essential in promoting clinical excellence and driving innovation in ophthalmic care.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating the assessment of care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating appropriate programs of care for patients requiring ophthalmic care.
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of holistic care is maintained for all patients and families.
- Acting as a role model for nursing and non-nursing staff, promoting clinical excellence and driving innovation in ophthalmic care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in nursing or a related field.
- Post-registration qualification or evidence of further study.
- Teaching and assessing qualification 998 /997 / mentorship or equivalent.
- Relevant post-registration clinical experience in ophthalmology.
- Initiation and implementation of change.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist mentorship and development.
