About the Role

HSDC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Examination Support Specialist to join our team. As an Examination Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our examination processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examination Entry Processing: Process and list examinations entries using our computerized system, ensuring all entries are made correctly and meet external deadlines.
  • Candidate Support: Liaise with candidates, parents, and additional support staff regarding all exam matters and arrangements, including holding difficult conversations and explaining complex awarding body legislation.
  • Examination Room Setup: Support invigilators with the setup of examination rooms, including evening exams, for students with access arrangements, ensuring all examination requirements are in place.
  • Online Examination Support: Set up examination rooms for online examinations, printing and uploading results, and dispatching them to students and course managers.
  • Exam Paper Management: Receive and check exam papers prior to each exam, parcel up scripts, check attendance registers, and arrange collections in accordance with regulations.
  • Result Notification: Notify candidates and/or guide them to information regarding entries and results, prepare and dispatch certificates throughout the year.
Requirements
  • English and Mathematics: English and Mathematics to at least level 2.
  • Administrative Experience: At least 2 years of administrative experience.
  • Customer Service: Customer service qualification or relevant experience.
  • Database Experience: Experience of working with databases and/or data entry systems.
  • Educational Environment: Previous experience of working within an educational environment and understanding FE Curriculum.
  • Microsoft Office: Experience of using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
