Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a pioneering recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Children's Worker to join their Sensory Services team, working with Deaf & Deafblind Adults on a full-time basis in Surrey.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist social work services to individuals who are Deaf BSL, hard of hearing, deafened, Deafblind, and their family/carers.

The role involves working in partnership with individuals and carers to assess needs, identify outcomes, and plan support to meet these needs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide supervision and line management to a small team, including Social Workers and Social Care Assistants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a person-centred, strength-based service, providing support that develops and/or maintains communication, safety, and promotes independence.

The role also involves coordinating, reviewing, and allocating referrals across the support team, as well as preventing, detecting, and responding to safeguarding concerns.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs of Deaf BSL, hard of hearing, deafened, Deafblind, and their family/carers, with the ability to provide regular supervision to a social worker and social care assistants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing towards monitoring and evaluation, including both quantitative and qualitative data collection.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate professionally with children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialist social work services to individuals who are Deaf BSL, hard of hearing, deafened, Deafblind, and their family/carers.
