About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Public Relations Manager to join the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum. As a key member of the marketing and communications team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Department's external and internal marketing activities. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day activities of the Departmental website and social media channels, ensuring that our online presence effectively communicates the garden's research, education, public engagement, and commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote the garden's activities and services.
  • Manage and maintain the Departmental website and social media channels, ensuring they are up-to-date and engaging.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop content that showcases the garden's research, education, and public engagement programs.
  • Support the development of digital and print materials, including newsletters, brochures, and posters.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in public relations and marketing, with experience in website management, content production, internal communications, and digital communications. You will be an excellent writer, proficient in working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, and able to work effectively in a complex environment with diverse stakeholders.

What We Offer

The University of Oxford offers a competitive salary, estimated at £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive range of benefits, including 38 days of annual leave, an excellent contributory pension scheme, and a cycle loan scheme.
