Job Overview

This exciting opportunity exists to provide expert advice and guidance to partners, managers and employees on all generalist HR matters.

As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for driving business performance in relation to organisational objectives, leading absence management, researching and implementing policies to ensure compliance with legislative changes, and contributing to HR system and practice improvement.

You will also be expected to ensure policies, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to under GDPR, supporting managers through the critical annual HR cycle, managing employee relationships and resolving grievances, handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with current legislation, and supporting performance management review.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our team as an HR Advisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Driving Business Performance: Work closely with line managers to drive business performance in relation to organisational objectives.
  • Absence Management: Lead absence management to ensure employee support and prompt issue resolution.
  • Policies and Compliance: Research, design and implement firm policies to ensure compliance with legislative changes.
  • HR System Improvement: Contribute to HR system and practice improvement.
  • GDPR Compliance: Ensure policies, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to under GDPR.
  • Critical Annual HR Cycle: Support managers through the critical annual HR cycle.
  • Employee Relationships: Manage employee relationships and resolve grievances.
  • HR Matters: Handle HR matters reliably and in accordance with current legislation.
  • Performance Management: Support performance management review.
  • Training and Development: Train line managers on employment legislation and future changes.
  • Communication: Write and present information briefings on HR topics.
Requirements
  • CIPD Level 5 or above: Possess CIPD Level 5 or above qualification.
  • HR Experience: Have previous experience as an HR Advisor in the legal or professional services sector.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and team player skills.
  • Sound Judgement: Exhibit sound judgement and strong administrative skills.
  • Resilience and Flexibility: Display resilience and flexibility with ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • High Accuracy: Possess high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible to work overtime during busy periods.
About You

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including opportunities for professional development and a contributory pension scheme.
