We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team at The Language Business. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading all human resources operations for both our UK and Portugal based offices.

About this role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager to take on a leadership role and drive business growth through effective talent management.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in managing human resources teams in both the UK and Portugal, with excellent knowledge of employment law and regulations in these countries.

In addition to your expertise, we are looking for someone who is able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, as well as external stakeholders such as clients and suppliers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with UK and Portuguese employment laws
  • Recruit, select, and onboard new employees
  • Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts in compliance with UK and Portuguese employment laws
  • Process work visa applications where necessary
Requirements:
  • Previous HR management level experience in both the UK and Portugal
  • Excellent knowledge of employment law and regulations relating to both countries
  • Knowledge of payroll, compensation, and benefits in the UK and Portugal
  • IT proficient (including MS Office)
  • Ability to travel to Portugal office when required
Estimated salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum
