About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker to contribute to the provision of high-quality care to patients with mental health needs. Our team provides assessments, advice, and support to individuals accessing treatment at our acute hospital. We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients with mental health needs, providing evidence-based interventions and support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and carers to promote understanding and engagement.
- Participate in teaching and training activities to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Registration with the relevant health profession regulatory body (NMC, HCPC, or HCAs).
- Experience in crisis management, therapeutic engagement, and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of mental health models, interventions, and care pathways.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
