About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled MRI Lead Radiographer to join our team at Ramsay Health Care UK. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for leading our MRI service and ensuring that we deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the MRI service, ensuring that we deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
  • Commission a new MRI scanner for use, ensuring that it is properly installed and maintained.
  • Perform specialized MRI procedures, such as cardiac imaging.
  • Prioritize workload according to clinical urgency/need when working single-handed and running an area.
  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload.
  • Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice.
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues.
  • Responsible for MRI safety in line with local rules.
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programs.
  • Provide input to the review, update, and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes.
  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience of commissioning a new MRI scanner for use.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • A DCR or BSc (Hons) radiography.
  • Evidence of a minimum of 2 years MRI experience, ideally in cardiac and small bowel enterography and liver imaging.
  • Evidence of 2 years' experience of managing a team of radiographers or as a Lead.
  • A flexible and dynamic approach.
  • Experience in supervising and assisting specialist and junior radiographers.
  • Experience of responsibility for department MRI safety in line with local rules.
  • Leading departmental audits and Quality Assurance programs.
  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential.
