Women's Recovery Coordinator

Greater Manchester Mental Health is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Women's Engagement Worker. This position will involve working with women and women's support agencies to identify and reduce barriers for women accessing drug and alcohol treatment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the local community's access to recovery services.
Main Duties
As a Women's Engagement Worker, the post holder will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders, providing recovery coordination for a cohort of female service users, and completing initial comprehensive assessments. The post holder will also be required to travel to community venues across the wider footprint to engage with hard-to-reach service users.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement strategies to improve the local community's access to recovery services
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Provide recovery coordination for a cohort of female service users
• Complete initial comprehensive assessments to identify service users' needs
• Travel to community venues to engage with hard-to-reach service users

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have experience of working as a Recovery Coordinator and will be able to demonstrate excellent effective communication skills with service users, their families, significant others, members of the public, and professionals. The post holder will also have knowledge of the recovery agenda and be able to use motivational approaches to inspire others to achieve their goals and assist in attaining and maintaining their recovery.
