We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Women's Engagement Specialist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in working with women and women's support agencies to identify and reduce barriers for women accessing drug and alcohol treatment.
Main Responsibilities
As a Women's Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing strategies to engage with women and women's support agencies to improve access to treatment services.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and providing support to women to help them achieve their recovery goals.
- Liaising with stakeholders and community partners to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of services.
- Providing training and education to staff and community partners on issues related to women's substance misuse and recovery.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working as a Recovery Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with women and women's support agencies.
- Knowledge of the recovery agenda and substance misuse services, with a focus on women's issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
