Neonatal Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Specialist Nurse to join our team at Pick for Britain. As a 'named nurse' for a group of patients, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating their care needs.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, co-ordinate a ward area, and provide direct supervision to junior staff and students. In the absence of senior sister or as delegated by the matron, you will take direct managerial responsibility for the clinical area.
Key Responsibilities- To promote Family Integrated Care and ensure the provision of a welcoming, caring, and safe environment for babies and their families.
- To demonstrate clinical expertise in the care of all patients receiving treatment on the unit.
- To deliver a high standard of nursing care that is evidence based.
- To liaise appropriately with all members of the multidisciplinary team in a manner that promotes effective teamwork.
- To support and facilitate junior staff in their development.
- To assist in ensuring the safety of the unit.
- To facilitate the discharge of babies into the community with support to the family at home.
This role offers a salary of approximately £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
