About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated nursing team member to join our healthcare team at Pick for Britain.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care needs of patients, working in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  2. Team Leadership: Provide direct supervision to junior staff and students, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  3. Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate clinical expertise in the care of patients, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices.
  4. Communication and Collaboration: Liaise effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to promote effective teamwork and coordination of care.
  5. Junior Staff Development: Support and facilitate the development of junior staff, contributing to the learning environment through participation in unit teaching programs.
  6. Safety and Quality: Actively participate in clinical audit, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients and families.
  7. Discharge and Follow-up: Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate the discharge of patients into the community, providing support to families at home.
  8. Collaboration and Networking: Maintain effective links with the maternity unit, paediatric department, and neonatal network, promoting seamless care transitions.
