Role OverviewAs a Vegetation Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of roadways and other critical infrastructure. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
Responsibilities- Performing cyclical grass cutting operations using various equipment, such as tractors with flails, ride-on mowers, and brush cutters.
- Implementing effective weed control strategies to minimize vegetation growth.
- Conducting tree and hedge maintenance, including hazardous tree removal, sign clearance, and hedgerow trimming.
- Maintaining clear pathways by removing debris and vegetation.
- Participating in planting schemes and complete de-vegetation projects for new structures and roads.
- Utilizing jet washing techniques to clean surfaces and remove contaminants.
- Completing other ad-hoc tasks as assigned to support our clients' needs.
While prior experience in highways or vegetation management is beneficial, it is not essential. We are looking for individuals with:
- A basic understanding of health and safety protocols.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks.
- A full UK driving license with less than 6 points.
- An enthusiastic and proactive attitude.
Beneficial qualifications include CSCS, ROLO, Lantra Tractor Driving, Lantra Arm Mounted Cutting Equipment / Flail, Lantra Brush Cutter / Strimmer, NPTC Pesticides PA1 & PA6A, NPTC Chainsaw CS30, CS31a, CS31b, CS38 & CS39, NPTC Chainsaw from a MEWP CS47, NPTC Brushwood Chippers, and IPAF.
