About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Train System Engineer to join our team in Derby, UK. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for the development of train-level brake specifications, utilizing existing solutions from our portfolio and identifying any necessary developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify potential brake solutions from higher-level train requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage volume benefits and worldwide relations with the supply base.
  • Develop and maintain brake system requirements, specifications, and documentation.
  • Support verification of equipment and assembly for first-in-class performance.
  • Lead activities throughout the project V-Cycle, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering degree and/or relevant professional certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in rolling stock brake systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
