About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Alstom, a leading company in the mobility sector. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of our train systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the train system architecture, operational modes, and functionalities, taking into account external and internal requirements.
  • Perform train system FMECA in coordination with the RAMS team.
  • Ensure consistency and compatibility between all subsystem specifications.
  • Write subsystem specifications and architecture descriptions in collaboration with the SSE/PU/TCE team.
  • Manage technical relationships with suppliers, including design reviews and QCD commitments.
  • Support the TSE team in defining applicable train configurations and ensuring coordination between TSS/PU/Metier teams.
  • Participate in technical meetings with customers to provide support and define train verification strategies.
  • Write train-level test specifications and ensure train integration and tuning.
  • Resolve technical open issues and perform reporting at project and metier levels.
About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of electrical principles or other relevant disciplines.
  • Strong experience in system engineering and knowledge integration environments.
  • Railway experience is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience in requirement management tools like DOORS would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and customer orientation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers on a regular basis.
