Job Title: Finishing Manager

Location: Various sites

About the Role:

The Finishing Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This involves managing Finishing Trade Sub-Contractors and personnel on site to ensure the quality of the product is of the highest standard.

This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to finish high-profile projects to the highest standard. The Finishing Manager will be responsible for delivering high-class quality finishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with Finishing Trade Sub-Contractors to maintain programmes and coordinate services effectively.
  • Liaising with Site Manager to coordinate Sub-Contractors' programmes and services.
  • Liaising with Senior Engineer to discuss engineering details and Sub-Contractors' coordination.
  • Liaising with Quantity Surveyors on cost issues.
  • Liaising with Purchasing Manager to procure bulk items.
  • Liaising with Quality & Environmental Manager to maintain site records in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Liaising with Site Clerk to requisition materials and plant.
  • Liaising with H&S Officers to promote the implementation of the Safety Management System.
  • Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site.
  • Compiling labour allocation sheets for all Bennett Direct labour and hired labor involved in finishing trades.
  • Maintaining a daily Site Diary recording all manpower levels for finishing trade Sub-Contractors and keeping accurate notes of on-site activities.
  • Scheduling weekly Work Programmes for Finishing trades and reviewing weekly progress Reports from the Master Construction Programme.
  • Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of standards.
  • Dealing with all Health and Safety issues on site.
  • Ability to motivate Labourors and sub-contractors.
  • Attending Bennett weekly Management Team meetings.
Requirements:

Preferred experience: 5 years as a Finishing Manager.

Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills required.

Salary:

£65,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience.
