The Integrated Supply Chain team within Moog UK is seeking a Global Supply Chain Optimization Manager to join their thriving team based in Tewkesbury, with occasional remote work and extensive travel within the UK and Europe.

This role involves managing short-term recovery projects and on-site joint improvement plans with allocated suppliers.

Main responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute project activities for recovery and transition.
  • Represent Moog UK as an onsite presence in key suppliers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams dedicated to supplier development and recovery efforts.
  • Identify necessary functions to support supplier improvement projects.
  • Organize and facilitate visits to suppliers.
  • Coordinate project resources and stakeholders.
  • Identify, report, and mitigate project risks.
  • Provide regular project updates to the Regional Supplier Development Manager and escalate if necessary.
  • Conduct capacity and capability assessments to identify areas for improvement.

The SPM will be expected to possess a broad range of knowledge to effectively optimize supplier recovery and development.

This role requires strong negotiation skills and effective communication skills in written, verbal, and formal presentations.

**Required Qualifications and Skills:**

  • Able to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe with occasional international trips.
  • Strong program/project management skills are essential.
  • Possessing a degree in fields such as engineering, supply chain, or business is preferred but not required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering (preferably in aerospace, automotive, or marine).
  • Good negotiation and communication skills are crucial.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize tasks correctly, and work under pressure to meet deadlines is vital for this role.

Travel to suppliers is estimated at 50-70% of the time, with the ability to plan daily schedules and agendas to maximize efficiency and achieve desired outcomes.
