Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal production efficiency and minimize waste.
- Liaise with suppliers to manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure materials are available to meet production deadlines.
- Monitor stock levels and identify areas for improvement to optimize inventory turnover.
- Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements and adjust planning as necessary.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to avoid disruption.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, materials, and suppliers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar Inventory Management Specialist or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production planning, materials management, and inventory control.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for planning and procurement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
