About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team in a Secondary Mental Health setting. The successful applicant will work with patients who have moderate to severe mental health conditions, offering specialist mental health assessments and support.

The core working hours of this role are Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm excluding bank holidays.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments of individual patient's difficulties, establishing risk and determining the appropriate course of action.
  • Work with patients to support adherence to prescribed treatments, monitoring mental health medication.
  • Provide and receive information, some of which may be contentious, sensitive, and complex to and from individuals and their families/carers.
Requirements
  • Evidence of post registration study / continuing professional development.
  • Experience in change management and policy formulation.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant mental health legislation.
