About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Care Services Team Leader to join our team at Leicestershire County Council. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to adults with learning disabilities and related health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line manage a team of support staff, providing regular supervision and ensuring staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Develop and implement effective audit systems to maintain high-quality services and ensure outcome-focused care and support.
  • Identify risks, complete risk assessments, and have a good knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals who use our services, motivating and supporting our committed team to promote the right values and celebrate individuality and diversity.
  • Ensure the safe storage, organisation, administration, and documentation of medication at the establishment in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care and support, maximising independence, and being responsive to the changing needs of a 24/7 service. You will also need to have supervisory/managerial experience or a suitable level of experience in a social care setting, as well as the ability to analyse information and make defensible decisions.
