Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and personable Private Dining Room Assistant to join our team at Searcys. As a key member of our PDR waiting team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting with service during evening events, private dining room dinners, standing receptions, and Christmas parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service Expertise: Provide exceptional customer service while carrying out all duties related to the job.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Successfully participate in the delivery of all food and beverage services.
  • Event Setup: Take part in the setup of all tables and required equipment.
  • Order Taking and Payment Processing: Take orders and process payments.
  • Company Policies and Procedures: Abide by company policies and departmental procedures/trainings.
  • Problem Solving: Be able to solve any customer service-related problem.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with key people in all necessary areas (kitchen, floor, reception, etc…) of the business to ensure the provision of food and service is consistent and in line with menu/standards set by the managers.
  • Customer Requests: Deal effectively and courteously with customer requests, and to refer them to the line manager, if necessary.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to, including The Food Safety Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, the COSHH regulations, etc. within the areas of responsibility including all other requirements as described in the Searcys Health & Safety Policy.
  • Security and Compliance: Comply with all legal requirements with particular reference to (but not exclusively) fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority or Client stipulations and any other reasonable request of Senior Management.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Hands-on and Proactive Approach: A hands-on and proactive approach is required to succeed in this position.
  • Autonomy and Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Passion for Food and Beverage: Passion for food and beverage is a must.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Excellent time management and organisational skills are required.
