About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Loss Adjuster to join our team at Davies Group. As a key member of our Loss Adjusting team, you will play a crucial role in handling claims of varying complexity and value in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Handling: You will be responsible for handling claims from inception to settlement, ensuring that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Investigations: You will conduct thorough investigations into claims, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as necessary to determine the cause and extent of damage.
  • Negotiations: You will negotiate with claimants, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve settlements that are fair and reasonable.
  • File Review: You will review files to ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate, and that all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: You will participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Insurance Claims Experience: You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in insurance claims handling, with a focus on property claims.
  • Knowledge and Skills: You will have a thorough understanding of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Education and Qualifications: You will hold a relevant qualification in insurance or a related field, such as ACII or ACILA.
  • Personal Qualities: You will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
