We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Environmental Protection Officer to join our small but busy team. The successful candidate will have a passion for environmental health and a desire to make a difference in the community. The role involves undertaking investigations, compliance, and complaint inspections, providing advice and guidance to members of the public and other service users and partners. The post presents an ideal opportunity for a person who has an interest and knowledge of Environmental Health related work and has or wishes to develop practical experience of delivering front line environmental health duties. The team places a high value on teamwork, customer focus, professionalism, responsibility, and creativity. The successful candidate will be expected to work on their own initiative but will have the support of their team as required. The role requires a full driving licence and access to a vehicle to undertake duties across the entire district. We work flexibly in Warwick, and support working at home or flexible working patterns that enable you to tailor your working and personal life. We provide the equipment and tools to enable you to work flexibly, and in return ask you to use that flexibility to be creative and ambitious in the services we deliver. The role involves attending meetings as required and being available for the occasional out of hours work, sometimes at the weekend to respond to complaints. Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake investigations, compliance, and complaint inspections
  • Provide advice and guidance to members of the public and other service users and partners
