Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our interdisciplinary care team at Care New England Health System.
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
This is a part-time position with flexible evening shifts. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing behavioral health services to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessment, intervention, and discharge planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct emergency clinical assessments of patients and convey findings to attending physicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation following departmental procedures.
- Provide psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and brief counseling to patients with behavioral health needs.
- Coordinate referrals and ensure proper reporting when safety issues arise.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and provide feedback on patient care.
Requirements:
- Licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) required.
- Experience in behavioral health, preferably in a hospital setting.
