Job Title: Head of Financial Controls and Assurance

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Financial Controls and Assurance function. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our financial controls and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the review and redesign of our financial control framework to ensure it is aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the Control Owner assurance process, ensuring that all control owners meet the minimum requirements of their roles and possess the necessary certifications.
  • Support first-line assurance work from internal audit, global assurance team, and controllership, including collecting evidence from finance teams and testing controls for design and effectiveness.
  • Provide written and verbal reporting to finance teams on risk management, controls, assurance, and governance.
  • Ensure the control environment is sufficient in design and operation to manage identified risks within agreed appetite levels, with plans and associated accountabilities and milestones developed to address unacceptable exposures.
Requirements:
  • You will need to be a fully qualified accountant with extensive experience in industry within Assurance, Financial Controls, and Compliance.
  • Prior experience working within the Big 4 in External or Internal Audit is highly advantageous, but not a prerequisite.
  • You will ideally come from a large company background, preferably with experience in listed companies.
