About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Statistician to join our team at Howden Group Holdings. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding our approach to the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of quantitative information. Your expertise will be essential in shaping our data-driven strategies and delivering insightful risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data collection methods
  • Conduct surveys and perform stochastic modelling and analysis
  • Develop and manage financial risk models addressing climate and nature risk issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least a 2:1 degree in statistics, applied mathematics, or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrable experience in a professional setting, public or private sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient programming skills, experience with statistical packages and languages
  • Understanding of risk management, disaster risk reduction, and macro-economics
