About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Analyst to join our team in London or Birmingham. As a key member of our credit risk modelling department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced predictive models to solve complex business problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop state-of-the-art data-driven exploratory analysis and predictive models to solve business problems, using techniques such as machine learning, statistical modeling, and data mining.
  • Build and evaluate predictive models to be deployed in production systems, or for research purposes, including analysis of large datasets, variable selection, and performance definition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop tailored solutions, utilising advanced statistical methods and quantitative analysis.
  • Experiment with different types of algorithms and models, analysing performance to identify the best approaches to employ.
  • Provide technical product support for new or existing products/services, including sales collateral and ad-hoc investigations initiated by internal or external clients.
  • Plan effectively to set priorities and manage projects, identifying roadblocks and working to remove them, while meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external clients, ensuring understanding of complex concepts and technical material.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in a mathematical or statistical field, or relevant experience.
  • Experience working in an analytic solutions or consulting company, preferably in a client-facing project management capacity.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying data to solve business problems through quantitative analysis, including predictive modelling and optimisation.
  • Strong statistical, data processing, and analytical skills, with expertise in SAS, WPL, R, Python, or other programming languages.
  • An excellent communicator, able to explain complex concepts and describe technical material to non-technical users.
