Our Mission

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst Lead to join our team in the role of Data Analyst Lead - Credit Risk Modelling. As a key member of our Global Risk Analytics (GRA) team, you will be responsible for leading the development of quantitative models related to Significant Risk Transfer (SRT) and supporting the execution of SRT transactions from a GRA perspective.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain quantitative models to accurately measure risk, ensuring they are fit for purpose and intuitive to use for business decision-making and risk management;
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and influence business decisions through effective communication and analysis;
  • Collaborate with the Head of EC to build an effective and robust EC analytical function, ensuring that the EC model is accurate and intuitive;
  • Ensure independence in analytical issues and assist colleagues in checking model data quality, monitoring, and reporting issues to steering committees;
  • Maintain control of data sources, model data quality, model development, and oversee model delivery;

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Extensive experience in Wholesale modelling or a similar entity, particularly in credit risk and economic capital;
  • High numeracy and analytical capabilities, with strong understanding of credit risk and AIRB modelling;
  • Excellent knowledge of Matlab, SAS data manipulation, Python modelling, and statistical analysis;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain close working relationships with related parties;
  • Knowledge of policy and procedural change processes and regulatory rules;

What We Offer

This is a hybrid role based in London or Edinburgh, offering a competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
